About

Indiepop Atlas is a place for you to learn about what's new in indiepop. You can check the titular atlas for information on the bands who are active in your area, or in areas you may want to visit. We'll also have regular album reviews, so you can keep up with what's going on in the greater indiepop world. Whether you've been part of the scene since Beat Happening's debut, or recently heard Belle and Sebastian for the first time, we hope you find what you're looking for here! I do my best to keep the artist pages written at a level where they can be accessible to someone whose first exposure to indiepop is coming across the Atlas (e.g., describing the bigger names in more or less the same fashion as some of my favorite obscurities). That being said, the album reviews are written with the assumption that the reader knows the genre fairly well.

If you're a fan of (or a member of!) a band that isn't yet in the Atlas, please send a quick email to indiepopatlas@gmail.com with a bit of information about them and I'll add them in as soon as possible. In particular, I would love to hear about your favorite bands from outside of the Anglosphere! Please note that I am not interested in emails that come from a publicist, which will not be read.

You can also send me an email if you're just a fan of the site, and either want to say nice things or recommend me some album that you've been obsessed with lately. Alternatively, the Indiepop Atlas is on Twitter, if that's more your thing.
