advantage Lucy are not a band I personally know all that well, but my understanding is that they've recently become one of, if not the, most beloved indiepop bands from Japan, at least among music nerds online. As of the time of writing, I've only ever listened to Fanfare, their best known album. It's sort of not that dissimilar from 90s Belle and Sebastian, with strings and horns, except a lot livelier? It's all really easy to love, which only makes it odder that I never got as massively into them as so many others I know?
