There's a lot of bands out there that will compare themselves to Postcard Records when in reality, they're jangle pop bands that largely lack the post-punk edge that Orange Juice and Josef K actually had. While Autocamper never outright makes that comparison (though they allude to the "jangling, melodic impulse of James Kirk-era Orange Juice"), they're one of the few indiepop bands I've heard for whom the comparison actually makes sense! To me, Harkins' guitar playing sounds straight out of The Only Fun in Town, even as the songs remain in a more typically indiepop mode.
