I feel like I've seen people try to describe Brittle Stars as "tweegaze" (or maybe I just associate them with bands who get called that), but it doesn't really seem quite accurate to me. Really, Brittle Stars at their core are one of those typical twee pop bands that jangle a bit, but not too much, and sound delicate, but not quite to the same level as a neo-acoustic band. The thing that makes them stand out, however, is that they've got really lovely-sounding synthesizers washing over the whole thing, not too far off from the Wake's best work (though quite a bit less dour than that!)
