As the Cat's Miaow, they're one of the echo-iest indiepop bands out there, and they release a ton of stuff (I've got one of their older compilations, and it's got 42 songs on it). They're all pretty short, and you know what you're going to get with every single one of them, but it's always nice to hear them from time to time (albeit the compilation I've got can be a bit overwhelming sometimes). As Hydroplane, they lost the drummer and decided to experiment with electronic sounds (like R.E.M. without the chart success). I haven't listened to Hydroplane quite as much, but as someone who enjoys when indiepop bands decide to get weird, I might actually like them in that form a bit more?
