I haven't yet had much luck finding Cherry Bombshell's music, but my understanding is that they were one of the first major indiepop groups in Indonesia? I think I've read that as the Suharto regime came to an end, the increased freedom led to more access to Britpop and adjacent bands, and Cherry Bombshell took that influence and did it themselves. From what little I've heard, they're kind of like a poppier version of Ride, mixing jangle pop with just a hint of noise? There's probably people out there who could give a way better summary than I can, both of their historical context and of their sound, my apologies if this is a bit of an oversimplification!
