Well she went to school... Wait, no, wrong Courtney Love, sorry! This one's actually a band formed by Lois Maffeo (who was apparently a former roommate of that Courtney Love) and Pat Maley. I've never really gotten into them really, which is weird because I love their sound a lot; the combination of Lois' acoustic guitar and Pat's insistent drumming ends up making their songs sound super percussive! If you're a Snail Mail fan, you're probably familiar with them through Snail Mail's cover of "The Second Most Beautiful Girl in the World". Anyway, the group split up after about a year and Lois went on to do solo albums, and they've got some good songs on them, but they don't really have what makes Courtney Love special for me.
