When I saw on their website that Falling and Laughing describe themselves as "increasingly draw[ing] on ideas from post-rock", I think I probably was expecting something like Lorelei's Everyone Must Touch the Stove. That's not really the case though, Falling and Laughing still feel pretty much like a pop-first group to me, though with spacier-sounding guitars than would be typical. Though just like Lorelei sounds a lot bigger than you'd expect for a trio, Falling and Laughing's more recent work (the only music I've heard from them as of the time of writing) sounds a lot bigger than I'd have expected from what was formerly an acoustic duo. Definitely recommended if you're someone who feels like all the indiepop you've been listening to has been starting to blend together.
