I first heard about Fantastic Something through a mention in Michael White's Sarah Records book Popkiss, where he writes that Blueboy had the goal of becoming as big a band as Fantastic Something. They're definitely on the more acoustic side of jangle pop, and the main attraction for me is that sometimes their vocal harmonies sound uncannily like a lost Simon and Garfunkel song. In particular, "If She Doesn't Smile (It'll Rain)" is an absolutely essential song for any fan of the genre.
