This one's a real indiepop supergroup; you've got Rose Melberg from Tiger Trap, the Softies, and so many other groups, Linton from Henry's Dress and the Aislers Set, and also Paul Curran, whose former band Crimpshine was important to the development of East Bay punk (though that's not a scene I have too much familiarity with). While it took me a while to get into this one for some reason, Go Sailor is probably my favorite of Melberg's bands these days (though with regards to Linton's bands, Henry's Dress remains at the top). I think the real star of the band is Curran's bass playing, which effectively drives their songs forward without it ever feeling like he's taking over the songs. If you're someone who's looking into indiepop for the first time, and coming at it from a pop punk background, this might actually be the ideal band for you to check out first!
