Unfortunately, I mostly only know Jens Lekman for his earlier, sample-based work. In that work, he's got this lush orchestral sound on his best songs, sort of coming off like the Avalanches except more indiepop. Of course, a lot of it didn't have properly cleared samples, so he ended up re-recording it later on in his career. I assume without the samples, he still sounds mostly the same, just without being based on baroque pop loops this time. I've got friends who totally swear that he's one of indiepop's all-time best songwriters, up there with Stuart Murdoch.
