My friend Anya recommended this band to me when I was looking for an entry point into Thai indiepop; they told me that the band isn't too dissimilar from the Cardigans. Now, I actually don't know the Cardigans all that well aside from "Lovefool", but I enjoyed La-Ong-Fong a lot. They're one of the more sophisticated-sounding indiepop bands I've heard, where I could totally hear this getting played at a cocktail party or something? I guess it's not too dissimilar from neo-acoustic bands, but they feel a bit more mature than that somehow?
