Like I mentioned over on the Aventuras de Kirlian page, somewhere along the line that band picked up a drummer and changed their name to Le Mans, and now here we are. I haven't listened too widely to Le Mans, which is weird because I've liked what I've heard? They sound a bit less rickety as Le Mans, and instead of the Marine Girls-esque minimalism they've got some orchestration and sound kind of like whatever the Basque equivalent of chanson is? Like a light touch on the drums, gentle guitar playing, semi-whispered vocals, an occasional string section? It all makes me feel very sophisticated to be listening to it, even though after all, it's just indiepop.
