I think maybe I've heard their split single with Rocketship and their best known album, In Solarium, but I'm not super familiar with Pia Fraus, honestly? About half the people who mention this band say they're tweegaze (which I tend to like), and the other half say they're My Bloody Valentine copycats (which I don't). Based on my very limited experience, I have to be difficult and say that neither of these groups is correct. To me, Pia Fraus sounds more like a shoegaze version of Stereolab, but not like in a krautrock way or a lounge-y way or anything that people tend to point to as trademarks of Stereolab. So I'm not sure what it is other than maybe the singer's voice?
