Although she's much better known now for her recent alt-country albums as Waxahatchee, Katie Crutchfield originally started out in an indiepop band with her sister. I'm not sure that they really do anything that stands out compared to other indiepop bands of the era, but they've got some solid songs played a bit shakily (in the way that all the best indiepop is played a bit shakily). I think to most people they're probably considered a bit of a footnote, but as someone who was never big on Waxahatchee, this is way more up my alley.
