It's been well over a decade now since Dissed and Dismissed, but you'll still often people complaining that Tony Molina hasn't returned to that sound. Luckily for all those people, Ame Ahmad has done just that with his work as The Pure. For better or for worse (but mostly for better), The Pure are re-iterating that album's thick, fuzzed-out power pop that lasts about a minute per song, and as one of the complainers, I'm completely here for it. Ame's songs aren't quite as memorable yet as Tony's, but with fuzz this good, I can't say that it bothers me too much!
