Usually, I'm a bit wary of supergroups of all genres, but this one really won me over on first listen. The trio of Ian, Rachel, and Peter all apparently got the initial idea to start the band after realizing they were all about the same age? Anyway, from knowing their bands, I was expecting something fairly like jangle pop, with maybe a bit of pop punk; but as it turns out, Railcard are more interested in being a soul band than they are in being your typical indiepop band. They might not be the next Supremes or Four Tops or anything like that, but they're a really fun listen for your next half hour.
