Imagine, if you will, that you woke up one morning to find that the Beatles never existed. Sounds like a bad movie, doesn't it? But seriously, have you ever thought about how different music today would sound if the Beatles had never been there? It's impossible to imagine, but we can rest assured that Shampoo would still sound the same. Their music sort of combines the big pre-British Invasion pop strains of Brill Building and surf, with just enough of a twist to keep things sounding fresh.
