Shonen Knife are one of those bands that have become a semi-big deal even outside of indiepop contexts, mostly because Kurt Cobain was a vocal fan. Overall, they sound more or less like three-quarters Ramones and one-quarter Beat Happening. I'm honestly not as familiar with them as I feel like I ought to be, though every time I listen to them I think they're a lot of fun.
