When I first listened to the Silent Boys, I thought they did a really good job of sounding like one of those mid-80s American college rock bands, the type that got cataloged on the Strum and Thrum compilation. Of course, after about 30 seconds of looking around their Bandcamp, I found out that they actually were one of those college rock bands! Overall, they're one of those jangle pop bands with a solid, earthier (is that the word I'm looking for?) sound, and a nice substantial discography to dig into.
