When their EP came out in 2023, I kind of just assumed that Touch Girl Apple Blossom were late-coming stragglers in a genre that was (in my view) running out of steam. But now, it seems like they might simply have been among the first bands to start up the revival that's in full swing here in 2026. As you'd expect from a band fronted by a former shoegazer, Touch Girl Apple Blossom's music seems primarily sound-based rather than song-based, giving us some of the best-sounding jangle pop guitars I've ever heard, honestly.
