Despite being named after a fairly sedate Aberdeen song, Toy Tambourine are definitely on the noisier end of things. They're one of those bands where the guitars almost but don't quite jangle because of the feedback, and they've got pretty basic and echoey drums that take more than a little influence from Psychocandy. Mirza (at least, I assume he's the singer) has a bit indier of a voice than the Reids, but overall I'd probably place this about halfway between Shop Assistants and the Jesus and Mary Chain? Lately I've been desperate to find more noise pop I haven't heard of, so Toy Tambourine came to me at just the right time!
