Vacance is one of the latest bands of Michaël Korchia, someone whose name I see all the time when I'm trying to learn about French indiepop, but whose work I'm not as familiar with as I'd like to be. They reached out to me thanks to the Indiepop Mailing List, and I'm so glad they did because I've been missing out this whole time! They make this really cute synthpop that sounds more put together than someone like Figurine (my first thought when it comes to synth-y indiepop), but a bit less solid than OMD or Depeche Mode (the bands they compare themselves to). Whatever it is, I think it sounds great!
