Versus aren't really indiepop, to be honest (they're pretty solidly somewhere between post-hardcore and Sonic Youth). So why are they here? As far as I can tell from reading about it (I wasn't born yet!), they were kind of in the same scene at the time (on Teenbeat Records, playing shows with indiepop bands, etc.) Plus, I really like their music! They're a bit jangly and pretty, they're a bit noisy and dissonant, they're a bit angular and weird. Basically, what ever kind of 90s indie rock you want at any given time, you'll find it in Versus.
