I first came across this band when I was getting into Vivian Girls, who ran the label that the compilation was released on. They're actually not too far off from sounding like Vivian Girls either; the songs kind of have the same general feel melodically, though where Vivian Girls are kind of washed-out and verging on noisy, Yellow Fever are more minimal and come across a bit psychedelic, even. They changed their name to Deep Time after a couple years, though I'm not super familiar with what they sound like under that new name.
